The IBPS had released their exam timetable for this upcoming year that is going to be useful for those searching for bank jobs in 2015.With the introduction of IBPS common recruitment procedure, a candidate just has to appear for a written exam & interview only once, making him eligible for jobs in any of the 20 public sector banks across India.
Gone are the days when state owned banks conducted separate recruitments for posts in their organization.

It stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection which is responsible for conducting all the recruitment activities in Indian banks.

From the year 2015 onwards, banking exams are to be held like IAS/ IPS (civil service) examinations as IBPS has decided to conduct two stage exam for recruitment of PO & clerk posts.

Since the IBPS PO & clerk notifications are to be released only after July 2015, we may not know about the exam pattern, syllabus & marks till then.

It’s Exam Time from September!
Looking at the table, one can easily attribute the later half of 2015 completely to bank exams.The common written examination for Officers (scale I,II & III) & Office Assistants in Regional Rural Banks (CWE RRB-IV) runs throughout September.
Similarly, you will have to appear for PO (CWE PO/MT-V) & Clerical cadres (CWE CLERK-V) during October & December 2015 respectively.
IBPS will follow it up by organizing the CWE Specialist-V in January 2016.
How Many Vacancies?
IBPS normally the releases the vacancy list for PO, Clerk & Specialist officers only after publication of exam results.So you won’t be able to get the exact no. of bank jobs in 2015-16 at this point of time.- PO – 16,000 – 20,000
- Clerk – 25,000 to 30,0000
- Specialist Officer – 4000 to 5000 (IT officer, agri.officer etc.,)
IN the year 2014, around 55,000 bank jobs were created for IBPS exam qualifiers.
